Kohlrabi
This is how you freeze Kohlrabi.
Preparation
Cut off the tops and trim.
Leave young small ones whole.
Peel and dice or slice the older ones.
Blanch whole ones for 3 minutes, diced for 2 minutes.
Drain, cool in iced water. Drain and pat dry.
Packaging
Pack in labelled and dated freezer bags or containers.
Thawing
Thaw in containers at room temperature.
Boil when still crisp for 10 minutes.
Alternatively thaw diced or sliced. Pat dry and deep fry.
Storage Time
12 months
